You can come to the sauna alone, but we especially recommend caution when swimming. Never swim alone, especially in winter. Bring a friend for safety.

The sauna does not have its own parking area, but there are almost always free 3-hour parking spaces in the adjacent Otaranta parking area.
You must carry your own sauna water. You can use the 16-litre water containers in the sauna for carrying. During summer, there is an outdoor water tap nearby shown in the instructional video. During winter, get water from your home or some other indoor tap. Sea water must not be used.
Yes! Siipisauna is open year-round. Winter swimming is especially refreshing, but remember safety guidelines and never swim alone or dive under ice. When the sea freezes, swimming may not be possible.
As the sauna warms up, the ice will slowly melt. You may expedite this by adding hot tap water to the containers. Do not place the plastic containers near the stove or any other intense heat source, as they will melt, even with ice inside them.
Ensure that the ash box is not full. Use smaller logs. Open the ash box slightly. Close the air vent next to the door completely by turning it clockwise.
There are USB outlets on the storage shelf for charging your phone. There is no Wi-Fi connection or mains outlets in the sauna. Leave your phone to charge and focus on relaxation!
As Siipisauna is 100% independently solar powered, the batteries may run out during prolonged periods of bad weather. You can still use the sauna, but there will be no lighting or charging available.
